About this Event
Learn life-saving skills in person at Reed’s Crossing Park. This hands-on training will equip you with the knowledge and confidence to perform CPR and apply an AED for adults, children, and infants.
Successful completion of this training will result in a certificate issued by the Health and Safety Institute. This training adheres to American Heart Association guidelines and satisfies OSHA workplace and other regulatory requirements.
Notes about Accomodations
This training...
- Will be conducted in English
- Takes place outside, under cover. Please dress accordingly (in layers).
- Is focused on hands-on skills. Participants must be able to demonstrate successful completion of the skills portion in order to receive a certificate. This involves kneeling, standing, and at least 2 minutes of chest compressions. If accomodations are needed, please contact the organizer.
About the Instructor
All trainings are led by a Health & Safety Institute (HSI) and Red Cross approved instructor. Our instructors also have experience as Emergency Medical Technicians (EMTs), Wilderness First Responders (WFR), and Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) members. Other first aid training offerings include BLS, ACLS, Wilderness First Aid, and Stop the Bleed.
