Join us for a morning of carpentry making a sweet dispenser!Spend some quality time together with your young person or teen, learn basic carpentry techniques and tool use.
Doing something practical is so important for our mental well-being and creativity. It also teaches important life skills. In this workshop you will learn how to make a sweet dispenser from wood and a recycled glass jar.
You and your child will learn how to mark out and saw wood, how to use a hand drill for making holes, a screwdriver and screws, and how to cut metal to connect the glass jar to it's base.
You will walk away with a finished sweet dispenser (sweets not included - choose your own healthy or sugary content!) and the plans in case you want to make another one at home.
The workshop ticket is for 2 people: one young person or teen 8-16 years and one adult (no age limit!).
Please note: You can be the parent, carer, auntie, granddad, godparent, as long as you are over 18 and are responsible for the young person or teen.
Cost (for 2 people): £60
