About this Event
We all know good water makes for good whiskey, so this Earth Day (April 22, 2025) we will gather near Volstead House for a volunteer clean-up event to help keep our waterways clear of pollution.
Per the Adopt-A-Drain program, "Storm drains flow directly to local lakes, rivers, and wetlands, acting as a conduit for trash and organic pollutants. Adopt-a-Drain asks residents to adopt a storm drain in their neighborhood and keep it clear of leaves, trash, and other debris to reduce water pollution."
Please refer to this map for storm drains adopted by the Women Who Whiskey Twin Cities Chapter. We will meet at drain #1 at 4pm and work our way around. We plan to clean up the storm drains and any green spaces around them, if possible. After the clean-up, we will convene for Happy Hour at Volstead House.

As a thank you to our volunteers, your first drink is on us!
Important safety information including appropriate attire guidelines and clean-up do's and don'ts will be sent to attendees prior to the event.
Tickets are free, and reserving one is required to participate. Donations are optional and would be appreciated to cover clean-up/safety supplies such as gloves, reflective gear, garbage and recycling bags, trash pickers, etc. If you have gloves or a high-visibility vest, we encourage you to bring it along to reduce the use of single-use products.
Since space is limited, if you reserve a spot and are no longer able to attend, please consider canceling your spot so another member can have the opportunity.
Schedule
4:00 pm meet at drain #1
4:30/45 pm conclude clean up and head to happy hour. The club co-chairs will cover one happy hour cocktail per clean-up volunteer as a thank-you for volunteering with us, but additional beverages and food will be available for purchase.
5:30 pm Happy Hour at Volstead House ends, but the group is welcome to stay as long as they would like.
Not able to clean up with us? wWw members are welcome to enjoy the food and drink at Volstead House at their leisure, but be aware that seating is limited and is first-come, first-served.
About Volstead House
