Adam Crowe of Curtin University will present his research, which explores the intricate interaction between the Specialist Disability Accommodation (SDA) program and the social housing sector.
Motivated by the commitments outlined in the United Nations Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities (CRPD), this research aims to ensure that people with disabilities have true choice, control, and independence over their housing.
Adam will present his findings on the complex dynamics between policy and practice systems, the experiences of those accessing SDA housing, and recommendations for policy and practice changes to improve housing outcomes for people with disabilities.
Rights and Responsibilities for SDA Tenants and the requirements for an SDA provider to uphold the legal rights of a tenant.
