Come and watch Addingham's own version of University Challenge, as groups from across the village take each other on in a battle of trivia, to be crowned Quiz Champions of Addingham!
With FREE entry, alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks courtesy of Addingham Beer Festival, as well as snacks, a raffle, and other fundraising games, this is a fun afternoon for all the family!

Tickets are free, but there is a limited number of seats available in the hall, so don't just assume you'll be able to get in on the day.
THE FORMAT:
The quiz will be a knockout competition, with two teams battling it out and one emerging victorious in each fixture. Eventually, we'll work our way to the final and crown the Quiz Champions of Addingham.
Each member of the four-member team will have a buzzer, and the quiz will evolve in the style of University Challenge – there will be a 'Starter for 10' on the buzzer on a random topic, and the individual that gets that question correct will then gift their team three bonus questions, worth 5 points each. The initial on the buzzer question will not allow conferring; the three bonus questions are team questions, which will be answered by the team captain after conferring.
The team with the most points after a designated period of time will go through to the next round. The losers are welcome to stick around, have a few drinks, and heckle the team that beat them!
Don't worry – the questions aren't as hard as those on University Challenge!
