“I just want to feel better. My own body is my deepest enemy. It wants, it wants, it wants and when it does not get, it cries and cries and I punish it.”― Kathleen Glasgow, from Girl in Pieces
“I have absolutely no pleasure in the stimulants in which I sometimes so madly indulge. It has not been in the pursuit of pleasure . . . It has been the desperate attempt to escape from torturing memories . . . insupportable loneliness and a dread of some strange impending doom.”
― Edgar Allan Poe
Join Sunday Assembly Nashville on January 11 at East Park Community Center for a meaningful look at addiction prevention and harm reduction. Our speaker will be Terry Milliner from STARS Nashville, an organization focused on overdose prevention, mental health treatment, and intervention.
Our all ages program begins at 10:30 a.m. Off street parking is plentiful and free. Bring a dish to share at our potluck brunch after Assembly.
Sunday Assembly is a celebration of the one life we know we have. We want Sunday Assembly to be a place of love and compassion where, no matter what your situation, you are welcomed, accepted, loved, and encouraged to live your best life.
