The Five Element theory in Traditional Chinese Medicine is a holistic philosophy based on the observation of the natural cycles and interrelationships in both our environment and within ourselves. By focusing on each element within its season, we realign our body, mind, and spirit to be in harmony nature.During this themed yin yoga practice, you will be introduced to the Traditional Chinese Philosophy of the Water element. You will be guided through a gentle yoga flow with breath practices balanced with Yin postures corresponding with the Kidney & Bladder meridians. Yin yoga employs long holds of ground-based practice to unlock tension and trauma from the deeper tissues. Acupuncture will be offered during an extended period of savasana (final relaxation) to harmonize our internal energies with the Water season.
