Acu-Nap: The nap you take during your acupuncture session where you’re not fully awake or asleep but feel deeply restored when you wake up (see also: Acu-Stoned).
Community Acupuncture is a form of acupuncture treatment offered in a group setting where multiple patients receive treatment simultaneously in a shared space. This unique approach to treatment places emphasis on collective healing accessibility and affordability.
Originating from the ancient traditions of Traditional Chinese Medicine this practice brings people together in a shared space to experience the therapeutic benefits of acupuncture: stress relief nervous system regulation improved sleep & digestion increased energy reduced anxiety and pain relief… Just to name a few!
Additionally the communal setting fosters a sense of support among patients creating a collective healing environment that enhances the treatment highlighting and reminding us how our individual wellness is deeply intertwined with the well-being of the whole community.
This is great way to experience acupuncture for the first time or between your individualized personal treatments to give them an added boost or for just a seasonal or wellness ‘tune up’.
Acupuncture is performed with sterile single use disposable needles* while lying on anti gravity reclining chairs and treatments may or may not include moxibustion (a warming heat therapy) ear seeds / tacks / essential oils. Once needles are placed you can settle in for a 30 min acu-nap: the best nap there is!
Please wear loose comfortable clothing and eat something light 90-30 min prior to the session.
*NOTE: Acupressure and moxibustion can only be applied for those who are needle sensitive.
We are offering SLIDING SCALE pricing for these sessions. Please self-select between $35-50 for treatment.
