What is Urban Food Night?

From Apiaries to Veg gardens, the city can be a hub for food and nature if you know where to look. During ARTification’s first ever Urban Food night we will hear from two amazing organisations who are bringing new ways to access food into Ealing.

- Beeshare: Angela from Ealing Transition's Beeshare will talk us through the journey of running a Community Shared multi-site apiary in the heart of the borough, where all members own a honey share and divide honey equally, whilst beekeepers share the tasks.

- Mind Food’s Programme Director Lucy will introduce the amazing ways growing can be therapy for common mental health challenges, something the charity does daily at their plot in Ealing.

This event is for anyone who is interested in finding ways to connect with their environment and community. You’ll also have the chance to purchase some locally made bee products and find out how to get involved in Urban Food opportunities.

This is a community event, part of ARTification's GATHER exhibition. Tickets are £3 with free tickets available for people who are unemployed, on Universal Credit or Eligible for free school meals.
