Join one of our 2 Creative Communities DJ workshops! We are thrilled to bring the Superstar DJs experience straight to the market for a high-energy, 60 minute taste of the music industry.
Under the expert guidance of professional teachers from the Academy, Adults and children will get to step up to the decks and learn how to mix songs like a pro. This interactive space is open to all—and yes, parents, you are more than welcome to join in the fun too!
What to expect at the session:
- Mix on Professional Decks: Learn how to mix and match rhythms, select tracks and use professional effects like volume, delay and reverb.
- Connect Through Music: A brilliant, welcoming space that demonstrates the unique power of music to connect and unite our neighbourhood. You can even sing your favourite song if you like!

Do you have a stack of worn-out, out-of-style, or shrunk t-shirts sitting in the back of your closet? Don't throw them away—upcycle them! Join the Ealing Repair Cafe team for a fun, hands-on, and sustainable crafting workshop. You'll learn the clever, eco-friendly art of transforming old clothing into continuous, high-quality fabric yarn (also known as "tarn").
At Ealing Repair Cafe,are all about reducing waste and keeping textiles out of landfills. This workshop is the perfect way to learn a new circular-economy skill while giving your old clothes a second life.
What you will learn:
- The Perfect Cut: How to prep and cut a standard t-shirt into one long, seamless strand of chunky yarn without any awkward knots.
- The Magic Stretch: The secret technique to pulling and curling your fabric strips so they look and feel exactly like store-bought textile yarn.
- The Basics of Crafting: We will show you how to get started using your brand-new yarn ball with simple, beginner-friendly techniques.
What can you make with your T-Shirt Yarn? Because this upcycled yarn is thick, sturdy, and slightly stretchy, it is absolutely perfect for quick-to-finish DIY projects! You can use it at home to make:
- 🧺 Chunky, stylish storage baskets
- ☕ Colorful drink coasters and kitchen trivets
- 🪴 Macramé hanging plant holders
- 👜 Eco-friendly market tote bags or trendy crossbody bags
- 🪢 Durable rugs or pet accessories
What to bring: Just bring 2 or 3 old cotton t-shirts (adult sizes M–XL work best, ideally without side seams or heavy plastic logos). They will provide the fabric scissors, tools, and inspiration!
