Preparing for active violence means considering the circumstances and possible actions you may need to take, either alone or as a part of a group. You will have effective strategies to improve your chances of survival, but if active violence occurs you will need to adapt what you know to your situation.In this class the students will learn how to equip your space, handling active violence events, defend and attack, what to do after a active violent event, how to apply direct pressure and wound packing, how to apply a tourniquet, equipping your space, flight-fight-freeze, escape and evade, defend and attack.
The goal of this training program is to help students develop the knowledge, skills and confidence to respond to an active shooter event.
This class is a mixed mode approach using both online and in person learning. Core knowledge content is provided in video segments and interactive student exercises online. This is followed by in person skills practice. Online content must be completed prior to in person, hands on class.
