Is your early childhood environment or center prepared for an active threat or shooter incident? Do you have procedures and plans in place for your team? Is emergency preparedness a priority for your staff?

We all have heard of the growing active shooter incidents happening in our world today. Unfortunately, these scary scenarios are happening in our communities right here in Iowa. Is your team ready to swiftly respond as they unfold? It is important to prepare ourselves, our co-workers, families and communities. This morning will focus on how to be prepared and gain the skills needed to prevent, recognize, and increase your ability to respond during an active threat incident or other emergencies. You will learn what behaviors to look for and how to respond to an active threat through making educated life-saving decisions about which actions to take.

We will also discuss how to plan and be prepared when it comes to knowing how to respond to and recover from various emergencies.

Does your program, center, school or early childhood setting have written policies and procedures in place? At the end of this morning, we hope everyone will have valuable information and tools to help update or create these valuable procedures to help keep everyone safe.

Come join us for a fun morning while learning to plan and be prepared when it comes to knowing how to respond to and recover from an emergency.
