About this Event
ATAC-seq, the gateway assay to epigenetics!
ATAC-Seq is a method to profile open chromatin regions genome-wide. Because of the assay’s speed, simplicity, and applicability to a wide range of sample types, ATAC-Seq has become a commonly-used epigenetic assay, and it can serve as a gateway to further, more detailed epigenetic analyses such as ChIP-seq, CUT&RUN or CUT&Tag
Ideal for:
Post-docs, RAs or grad students new to epigenetics research.
Workshop Objective:
- Hands on lab training with Active Motif’s ATAC-Seq Kit
- In-depth protocol review highlighting sample QC steps along the way and pitfalls
- Data analysis using ATAC-seq raw example data set
Mock kits will be used so you can learn the key steps in the ATAC-Seq workflow without risking your samples.
Agenda:
We will have 3 ATAC-seq workshop sessions you may choose from. You will be asked your preferences by email upon registering. Please Note: A separate registration is required for the Epigenetics Seminar event for headcount since lunch will be catered, so please be sure to register for both.
- Thursday, March 28th (Option 1) : ATAC-Seq Kit wet lab workshop followed by ATAC-seq data analysis example raw dataset.
- Thursday March 28th, 12:30pm – 2pm: Epigenetics Lunch Seminar – Overview of ATAC-Seq, CUT&Tag, Cut&Run, ChIP-seq and other epigenetics assays so you can learn when best to carry out what assay. (Strongly Recommended).
- Thursday, March 28th (Option 2) 2pm – 5:30pm: ATAC-Seq Kit wet lab workshop followed by ATAC-seq data analysis example raw dataset.
- Friday, March 29th (Option 3) 9am – 12:30pm: ATAC-Seq Kit wet lab workshop followed by ATAC-seq data analysis example raw dataset.
This workshop is brought to you by Active Motif, the industry leader in epigenetics research tools and services, in collaboration with The UCSF Center for Advanced Technology and The Institute for Human Genetics
