About this Event
This two-day course aims to help those already working within the concussion field to
develop their understanding of the pathophysiology and systemic effects of mild
traumatic brain injury (mTBI). The course focuses on optimising recovery post-
concussion diagnosis, exploring the wide range of assessment and treatment skills
needed to enhance patient recovery across multiple domains; autonomic, visual, vestibular,
cervicogenic, cognitive, fatigue and psychological.

Day 1
- Pathophysiology of mTBI
- Common symptom profiles/phenotypes
- Comprehensive multi-disciplinary screening
- Practical assessment skills workshops
Day 2
- Clinical reasoning and interpretation of assessment findings
- Treatment planning and multi-disciplinary working
- Practical treatment skills workshops
- Clinical case studies
Entry Requirements:
- Has treated / currently treating patients post-concussion
- Familiar with SCAT6 / SCOAT6
- HCPC / GMC registered
Parking will be available in the North East multi-story building next door to the Gisbert Kapp building and by the Edgbaston Park Hotel
