Active Living Innovation Fair 2023
Inviting students to design and create innovative ideas that promote play, participation, inclusion and healthy active living
About this Event

The Active Living Tradeshow would like to invite college and university students from across Ontario to take part in the Innovation Fair: to design and create innovative ideas that promote play, participation, and healthy active living opportunities for people with disabilities. This is a great opportunity to be an innovator and be recognized by peers, guests, and community advocates for your leadership.

Project Entry Criteria

  • Participate at a team of 2
  • As a team create roles and responsibilities to actively engage all members of the group
  • Propose timelines and target dates for project momentum
  • Design an accessible poster
  • Prepare a one-page write up to outline your project
  • Accessibility priorities included in presentation
  • Submit your project for selection

The Format

The showcase will be in a science-fair format. Each team will be provided with a table to display their project. Conference participants and speakers will be visiting each table and will vote for the best project. Winners will be recognized at the awards celebration for the show.

The designs should be forward-thinking, embody ideas that are both transformational and unique, and have functionality demonstrating ease of use, and a practical application in the real world. Innovations must be presented by at least one member of a team.
