About this Event

Rose Bruford's Theatre & Social Change BA (Hons) and Contemporary & Popular Performance (BA) Hons invite you to join us at Tramshed on Thursday 27 November for Activating Change: Open Talks - an evening of inspiring conversation with Nene Camara (of BUZZCUT Glasgow)

Nene Camara is an artist and producer, crafting performances across schools, theatres, club nights, festivals and cabarets. Their approach is grounded in inclusion, anti-racism and accessibility – values shaping every stage of their work. Nene’s journey began on the Young Producers scheme at Battersea Arts Centre, sparking a passion that led them to study performance-making in Glasgow, where a new community of peers and collaborators inspired them. For the past three years, they have worked at Artsadmin, supporting artists on national and international tours and forging global collaborations. Now Organisational Director at BUZZCUT - Nene steers the vision of one of Glasgow’s most vital live art organisations, championing underrepresented communities and exploring thrilling ways of making and sharing art.

Together we will consider the many ways change might be enacted in our communities and in wider society - creating a shared understanding of the goals we have and the strategies we might use to get there. These (free but ticketed) talks are for the students on our course as well as across different courses at Rose Bruford College and are also open to the wider public.
