About this Event
The NCNW - University of Michigan Section in partnership with the Michigan Department of State will host a Voter Education Forum! This forum will highlight the Power of the Youth Vote, critical importance of voter registration, and a step-by-step breakdown of the voting process. With a special emphasis on the Michigan Voter Rights Act, attendees will gain a deeper understanding of their rights and responsibilities as voters.
Geared specifically toward Gen Z, this forum is designed to dispel common misconceptions about voting and inspire active participation in the democratic process. Whether people are voting for the first time or want to better understand how their vote can impact local and national elections, this is a unique opportunity for people to equip themselves with the knowledge and tools to make their voice heard.
With speakers from the Michigan Department of State (MDOS), attendees will gain crucial insights into the importance of Gen Z participation in the democratic process. The role of technology in modern elections and how it impacts Gen Z engagement will also be discussed, encouraging young voters to take an active role in shaping the future of Michigan.
