About this Event

Starting this January, Jeff Terrell and Heroes World invite you to step behind the lens and into a world of creativity. With a monthly, hands-on photography workshop series built specifically for fans, creators, and hobbyists passionate about toy and product photography. Whether you’re capturing epic action figure battles, dramatic product shots, or imaginative mini worlds, these workshops are designed to help you sharpen your skills, unlock new techniques, and see your subjects in an entirely new way.

Each session is highly interactive, encouraging experimentation, collaboration, and guided instruction in a fun, welcoming environment. You’ll learn practical techniques that you can immediately apply—no dry lectures, just creative problem-solving and inspired shooting.

Workshop Schedule:

Saturday, January 24th at 10:00 AM

Forced Perspective

Learn how to bend reality using clever camera angles, depth, and scale tricks to make your subjects appear massive, dynamic, and cinematic. Discover how simple positioning and composition can turn small toys into larger-than-life heroes and scenes that feel straight out of a movie frame.

Saturday, February 28th at 10:00 AM

Fire & Explosions

Add intensity and impact to your images by learning safe, creative ways to simulate fire, sparks, and explosive effects. This session focuses on building energy and motion in your shots while maintaining full control of your setup—perfect for action scenes and dramatic storytelling.

Saturday, March 21st at 10:00 AM

Playing with Light

Explore the power of lighting to transform your photography. Using handheld lights, you’ll experiment with shadows, highlights, and color to sculpt mood, reveal texture, and bring emotion and realism to your subjects. Learn how light alone can tell a story.

Workshop Details:

Capacity: 10 participants per class

Duration: 3–4 hours per class
Cost: $120 for all three sessions
