oin the WPAC and Ioulia Kokkokiou for an invitation to move, sense, and express. This workshop explores how the body speaks — to itself, to space, and to others.
During this workshop, you will begin with a warm-up based on principles of contemporary dance technique, awakening body awareness, alignment, and flow. These foundations become both preparation and inspiration for creating personal movement material.
Through guided explorations, you uncover the emotional and creative potential of physical movement. You will draw inspiration from poetry and visual imagery to develop original movement phrases and shared compositions, discovering your own voice through the language of the body.

About Ioulia Kokkokiou
Ioulia is a dedicated dance artist and educator based in Wiesbaden, with extensive experience in designing, organizing, and leading workshops and dance projects for diverse audiences. Her teaching practice focuses on cultivating body and spatial awareness, inviting participants to explore how the body moves — as a whole and through its individual parts — and how it relates to space, gravity, and the floor.
Through this process, participants are encouraged to discover their own physical expression and deepen their understanding of movement as communication. In her artistic work, she explores how movement games and improvisation tasks can support the teaching and experience of contemporary dance, particularly with young people. She collaborates with various cultural institutions, schools, and theaters, developing projects that encourage curiosity, expression, and connection through movement.
