About this Event
Act Up & Podcast is a dynamic after-school program that combines the power of theater arts with the latest social media trends: podcasting. Students will engage in acting exercises, games, and podcasting essentials, gaining confidence, creativity, and a platform to express their authentic voices. Starting in late October or November, we aim to produce a full-length, 45-60-minute monthly podcast, which will be available on YouTube, Spotify, and Apple Podcasts. Each participant will determine the parameters of their segment, engaging in research, editing, and constructive critique to strengthen their creative and analytical skills. This program is a fun and engaging way to get kids off their phones and shift them from passive consumers to active creators. By expressing themselves through podcasting, they’ll learn valuable skills that foster confidence, communication, and collaboration.
