Calling all aspiring actors! The Ludington Area Center for the Arts (LACA) invites students aged 5 to 17 to join Kara Rose for an exciting 8-week Youth Acting program.Dive into the fundamentals of acting through engaging group exercises designed to cultivate physical and vocal awareness, sharpen concentration, ignite imagination, and build trust with fellow actors. Students will explore their creative potential through monologues, scene work, and observational awareness exercises, guided by the experienced actress, Kara Rose.
Program Details:
Dates: Wednesdays, starting April 16th
Ages 5-9: 5:30 PM - 6:30 PM
Ages 10-17: 6:30 PM - 7:30 PM
Final Performance: Thursday, June 5th at 6:30 PM (Actor call time: 5:00 PM)
Location: Ludington Area Center for the Arts (LACA)

About the Instructor:
Kara Rose, a 1995 Ludington High School graduate, brings a wealth of professional experience to the classroom. With a degree in Theatre Performance from Western Michigan University and years as a working actress in Los Angeles, Kara's impressive resume includes stage roles in classic plays like "Hamlet," "A Midsummer Night's Dream," and "Much Ado About Nothing," as well as appearances in popular television shows such as "The Gilmore Girls," "The West Wing," and "Buffy the Vampire Slayer," and films such as "Little Black Book."
