ACT OF GRAVITYEN: Gravity pulls us towards the ground, pulls on our loose skin, attracts objects, and sets planets into orbit. It propels the big scientific minds of our time to develop theories that attempt to explain the behaviour of matter, space, and time. Who are we humans eternally falling while the laws of physics set everything into motion?
Act of Gravity is a large-scale dance performance about the most observable force in the universe. With the use of a huge trampoline, cutting-edge visuals, specially composed music, and alluring acrobatics, as well as in close dialogue with scientists from Niels Bohr Institute, KU Leuven and the University of Amsterdam, Act of Gravity is an immersive dance experience for the mind and for the senses.
Act of Gravity has been set in motion by Recoil Performance Group in collaboration with Science & Cocktails. The performance strides the line between art and science and is presented in the informal context of a cocktail bar. While you enjoy your chilled drink, every evening a renowned expert in physics will offer an introductory talk about the mind-boggling theories that have inspired the dance performance.

DA: Tyngdekraften drager os mod jorden, trækker i vores hud, tiltrækker objekter og sætter planeter i kredsløb. Den driver forskere til at udvikle teorier, der forsøger at forklare tid, rum og masse. Hvem er vi da i et evigt fald, hvor de fysiske love sætter alt i konstant bevægelse?
Act of Gravity er en storskala danseforestilling, der kredser om den mest observerbare af universets love: tyngdekraften. Med en gigantisk trampolin, banebrydende lysdesign, specialkomponeret musik og dragende akrobatik, samt i tæt dialog med forskere fra Niels Bohr Institutet, KU Leuven og Amsterdam Universitet, bliver Act of Gravity en immersiv danseoplevelse for både intellekt og sanser.
Act of Gravity er sat i bevægelse af Recoil Performance Group i samarbejde med Science & Cocktails og er en danseforestilling i krydsfeltet mellem kunst og videnskab. Publikum bydes velkommen i en cocktailbar og mens du nyder din kølige drink, vil en række anerkendte forskere i fysik hver aften gå i dybden med de tanker og den videnskab, der har inspireret danseforestillingen.
