ACT Engagement South East

ACT Engagement events are informative events, hosted by Counter Terrorism (CT) regions, aimed at raising awareness. Events include advice, guidance and updates on the work that police and partners are doing to mitigate the terrorist threat.

The event will be delivered by subject matter experts including the National Counter Terrorism Security Office (NaCTSO) and Counter Terrorism Policing (CTP). Throughout this event, you will gain a valuable insight into topics including:

• Competent Persons Scheme

• ACT in a BOX

• CT Menu of Tactical Options for Stakeholders

We are looking to have representatives in business from across the Venues and Public Spaces (VaPS) scope. We particularly invite businesses to sign up who have not had exposure to our previous content and presentations.

Parking and Accessibility

Parking charges do not apply for anyone visiting The Historic Dockyard. The Dockyard site is closed to visitors on Monday 15th September so you are welcome to park on the helipad car park. Please drive through either entrance, telling the security staff you are here for the ACT Engagement Day, and proceed to the car park. The church is then just a short walk (see map).

Every effort has been made to ensure maximum accessibility for all visitors to The Historic Dockyard Chatham. However, if you require disabled parking please email your name and vehicles details to: [email protected], as this will enable the organisers to reserve parking close by.

Check-in and report to the Registration Desk, you will be required to show photo ID to confirm your details prior to entry.

Please Note:

• This conference is at full capacity, therefore entry will only be allowed if you have a registered place.

• If you are unable to attend or wish to send a representative in your place, you MUST inform us via email immediately.

• Any person who attends on the day that has not received confirmation of their place may be turned away.

Tea and Coffee will be provided, however, lunch will not and therefore you may wish to bring your own.
