Act Belong Commit Lunch + Workshop with Martein van ZuilenAll are invited to join Martien for lunch, see her exhibition and take part in a ‘Creative Connections’ workshop. There is no cost or booking required to attend the lunch, launch or workshop, just come along to to one or all three activities.
Sunday 5th May
Lunch + Launch 12pm to 1pm and Workshop 1pm to 4pm
Gardiner Street Arts Collective, 97 Gardiner St, Moora
In the workshop we will be using materials such as fabrics, wool, raffia, paper, and recycled objects, everyone is invited to try their hand at innovative weaving, felting, and string-making techniques, and make an artwork that is precious to behold.
Think of this series of workshops as a creative Merry-Go-Round. Jump in, stay awhile, learn new skills, and create to your heart’s content. There is also time to contribute to several collaborative community artworks, using fabrics, wool, raffia, and found objects.
Everyone is welcome; no experience is necessary, and all materials are provided.
Bring a friend (and meet new ones), and an appetite for trying something new in a fun and supportive environment. People being creative together, with hands busy and conversation flowing. “I really look forward to seeing you, come and join us!” Martein
