Lead with Care: How intentional mentorship and collective support empower women leaders, strengthen school systems, and transform educational communities.
Dr. Julie Olesniewicz will present on the importance of Leading with Care through intentional support and mentorship of women in educational leadership. With 31 years of experience in public education as a teacher, coach, site administrator, and district leader, Dr. Olesniewicz currently serves as Assistant Superintendent of Educational Services for the Claremont Unified School District. Drawing on research based data and her own leadership journey, including her service as President of ACSA Region 15, she will illustrate how care-centered leadership strengthens professional capacity, builds trust, and advances women in the field. Central to her work is the women’s leadership network she founded, PAW, Powerful Awesome Women, a “sister circle” that brings female administrators together monthly for mentorship, career advancement, and community building. Through real-world examples, Dr. Olesniewicz demonstrates how leading with care by fostering connection, advocacy, and collective growth not only elevates women leaders, but also strengthens districts and positively impacts students.
