ACS-OC invites you to our monthly speaker series to hear from this month's guest speaker, Dennis Kelly, on Thursday, October 21st, from 7-9pm!
Dennis will share with our chapter a variety of topics such as the humble beginnings of ACS/OC, the revival of the Day of the Dolphin Event, and the joint US/Norway attempted juvenile minke whale captures for hearing potential tests in 2021 & plans for more in 2022 in Norway. Our meeting will take place in the The Lewis Center (Where the Dennis Kelly Public Aquarium is) in room 201, from 7-9pm. Parking Fees are waived - Parking Lot E. Due to the indoor nature of this event and for the safety of our members and instructors; regardless of vaccination status, masks will be required for all attendees, thank you for your cooperation.

MEET THE SPEAKER!
Dennis is a Graduate of Calif State Univ, Fullerton - BA and MA in biology, marine biology, and oceanography. He was the Professor of Marine Science at OCC from 1974 to 2015. Dennis served as the Director of the Coastal Dolphin Survey Project from 1977 - 2013. Dennis co-founded ACS-OC in 1977, is a former President; and member to the present. He was also Director of the OCC Marine Science Department Aquarium from 1974 to 2013, as well as teacher of the Year at OCC in 1985. He is also credited as the Krill Technician R/V Surveyor for NOAA's Antarctic Ecosystem Research Cruise which occurred in Jan/Feb of 1992.
