This workshop covers landscape painting and focuses on the emotional effects of color and light. Participants will follow step-by-step instructions with a demonstration by Prof. Yan Sun to create a landscape painting. Composition, color contrast and harmony, depth, as well as expressive ideas will be addressed. This will be in a studio setting with preselected photo references provided or brought by yourself.The workshop is open to all skill levels, and we provide the supplies you'll need, including an 11”x14” canvas and a palette; acrylic colors and brushes; as well as a brush washing container and paper towers.
Fee: $35 per participant. The fee is non-refundable but transferable to your friend or family if you can’t attend. (Fee is due on September 14, 2024.)
