A message from Instructor and Artist Karen Mellor"

"Hello Everyone!

Although spring feels like it’s still some time away, I want to encourage you think ahead anddream a little as you prepare for our acrylic painting sessions starting on April 17 th. As always, we welcome any level of expertise from complete beginner to confident painter. I encourage you to assemble your supplies, paints brushes, palette, rags etc. Don’t forget that dollar stores have some very good selections of art supplies, so it need not break the bank. There will be limited paints in basic colours available for as long as they last, as well as easels to borrow.

As always, find a subject you love, so that painting it will be fun as well as a learningexperience. You may have a project you are stuck on that you’d like to complete. Step outside your comfort zone and don’t be afraid to try a new subject or a different approach. Here’s some things (pictures below) I ‘m working on right now…….

If you need the courage to try something new, come and join this fun supportive group full of creative energy! Send me some ideas of things you want to be included. If you’re looking for ideas and practice in composition, perspective, design elements, colour mixing, brushwork etc, or simply to come and enjoy some ‘you time’, let’s do this!"
