Across the Atlantic - Launch Tour 2025Racket Records is delighted to announce a special concert to celebrate the launch of Across the Atlantic (RR019), the debut album from two outstanding young traditional musicians - fiddle player Andrew Caden (Bethesda, Maryland) and flute player Conor McDonagh (Killavil, Co. Sligo). They will be joined on the night by renowned pianist Catherine McHugh for what promises to be a night of sparkling Sligo music, full of lift, flow, and heart, in the intimate setting of The Crane Bar, Galway.
Across the Atlantic shines a light on the rich Sligo tradition, bridging musical roots in Ireland and the United States. The album has been praised by Mick O’Connor as “a sure sign we are living in a golden age of Irish traditional music,” and by Fr. Séamus Quinn as “fragrant with the beauty of the past, joyfully rooted in the present day.”
