Come learn and experience the therapeutic side of Acro Yoga. Join us as Steve Machalek and Alissa Gamberg lead an exploration through a variety of ways to use therapeutic touch and assisted stretches to help loosen tight, sore muscles and relieve nagging aches and pains. Starting with a gentle, partner assisted yoga flow to help build trust, communication, and connection, we will both give and receive a flow of luxurious, assisted stretches as we explore the use of our restoring touch. Over the course of 2 hours, you will learn a series of therapeutic Acro Yoga postures, transitions between them, and receive an introduction to Thai bodywork. Afterwards, you'll leave with all the tools to give first-class Lunar flights!
All levels of yogis welcome, no previous yoga or acro experience required!

Steve Machalek

Shortly after becoming a Certified Yoga Teacher, Steve Machalek tried Acro Yoga for the first time in 2014 and fell in love with it right away. Since that time, he has traveled all over the country to training with as many Acro Yoga and Acrobatics instructors as possible, and traveled to Thailand to complete his Acro Yoga teaching certification in February 2017. To further deepen his skills as an Acro teacher, Steve took part in the Lift School of Acrobatics Apprentice Program in 2018. Through collaboration and creativity, he is constantly seeking new shapes to make and flows to execute within his Acro Yoga practice, and enjoys sharing what he learns with others. Known for his patience and calm demeanor, he thoroughly enjoys seeing the joy of his students as they grow in this practice of movement.
