MONDAY FEB 24 - AcoustiCafe Open Stage 25th Anniversary Party in MR SMALLS THEATRE - hosted by Zack Keim featuring PosterChild!!Releasing this event a little bit early so people see it and prepare! Last time we had an AC in the theater it was CRAZY because we had so many performers but also really cool - except when we ran way over time and some people who'd waited all night to play had to be cut off, and that sucked.
Realistically (because math is cruel) we can only have about 32 5-min timeslots with changeovers in a 4 hour show. Two ideas we think will help deal with the event - 12 of the slots are going to be 'lottery slots' so after the first 20 slots are picked in order of checkin the last 12 will be random which makes it a little more fair for people who arrive later or don't have online accounts for checkin. Second thing is encouraging people to team up as duets or trios or quadrolopasaurs etc so we can get more people to perform in the same number of slots. TEAM UP!!
AC SHOW DETAILS:
Doors open downstairs in Mr Smalls Café at 5 pm for checkin, Signups begin around 6:30pm, show from 7pm until 11pm. Full sound and light system with backline (drums, keys, guitar and bass amp) available, and a house band to back you up if you want!
