AIDS Care Ocean State (ACOS) is celebrating 35 years of service and prevention in Rhode Island and in honor of this occasion, we are hosting a 35th Anniversary & Mardi Gras Gala on Friday, March 7, 2025 at the historic Rhodes on the Pawtuxet in Cranston.
The 35th Anniversary celebration will commemorate ACOS service, dedication, and achievements, in addition to, recognizing the people who have lent to the success of the organization throughout its years.
The evening will include a traditional Mardi Gras dinner, live entertainment, music, magic, comedy, dancing, and an awards ceremony. During the awards portion of the Gala we will present:
Lifetime Achievement Award to founder of ACOS, Paul Fitzgerald
Community Service Award to the Providence Gay Flag Football League (PVDGFFL),
Philanthropist of the Year Award to Chuck Hollis.
For the past 35 years, ACOS has provided case management, housing resources, mental health services, HIV prevention education, harm reduction, outreach and advocacy for those at risk of and/or effected by HIV/AIDS in our state.
