In this workshop, we will learn about the amazing and edible acorn. This often overlooked nut was once a staple crop for indigenous peoples wherever oaks grew, it's time we start eating acorns again!Students will go home with the knowledge of how to identify different species of oak, how to pick, process and eat acorns in a variety of ways and the history behind it all, connecting it all to the past, present and future of this truly amazing food.
Class fee is $50.
INSTRUCTOR: James Mann is the owner of Spicebush Woodcraft and Foraging, and he is a naturalist, forager and chef.
