The Internationale Kochkunst Ausstellung (IKA) is one of the oldest, largest and most diverse international culinary art exhibitions in the world, dating back to 1900 and taking place every four years. Roughly 2,000 chefs and pastry chefs from more than 60 nations compete—against themselves and each other—in the week-long competition drawing crowds of fellow chefs and supporters. The IKA, which is also referred to as the “culinary Olympics,” often fails to get the press and attention it should until now, and our ACF Culinary Team USA has a lengthy history in the competition with teams participating as far back as 1956. World Championship titles require a national team to win two main categories: the famous 3-course hot food menu for the Restaurant of Nations and the table-side Chef’s Table 7-course service menu.
Team USA under the leadership of seasoned world competitors, Chef’s Dave Turcotte, Alan Neace Sr., and Raimund Hofmeister will lead America’s team to a World Championship in the World Cup in Luxenberg in 2026 and onto the prestigious pinnacle of the IKA Olympics in Stuttgart Germany in 2028. Please join our journey as we prepare for this monumental taste of gold!
Tickets are being sold through ACF Tampa Bay Chapter, but the proceeds will be passed to the Culinary Team itself.
