From thru-hiking the Pacific Crest Trail, skiing volcanoes in Ecuador, backpacking through Peru, and rafting the Grand Canyon, Madeline has tasted the power of the wild and its propensity to heal, challenge, and inspire. Guided by thought-leading naturalists including Dolores LaChapelle, Joanna Macy, and Dr. Clarissa Pinkola Estes, Madeline has approached her geographic and intrapersonal travels through the lenses of biospheric egalitarianism and deep ecology. Join her in reflecting on these life-affirming adventures that connect her to the mysteries of the natural world and her place in it.
About the Presenter:
Madeline Werner, originally from Wisconsin and now based in Colorado, is on a mission to feel a deep sense of belonging on the earth. She is a farmer, yogi, and artist driven by an unapologetic curiosity about the interconnectedness of all life. Madeline uses the practices of skiing, hiking, poetry, and dance to explore and deepen her relationship with both the natural world and her inner self. Her work and personal journey are a testament to her belief in the transformative power of nature and self-exploration.
