AccounTech Free Training (February 17 – May 8, 2026)

AccounTECH is a FREE, government-funded training program designed to help job seekers transition into the bookkeeping and accounting field.

Program Details:Dates: February 17 – May 8, 2026

Schedule: Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM – 3:00 PM

Location: In-person classes in Red Deer

This program equips you with job-specific technical skills tailored to meet the needs of employers hiring for accounting administration roles across multiple industries.

What You’ll Get:

✅ 2 weeks of career workshops: Resume building, interview prep, job search strategies, and one-on-one career coaching

✅ 8 weeks of in-class training: Accounting fundamentals and essential computer programs

✅ 2 weeks of unpaid practicum: Real-world work experience

✅ 3 months of job placement support after training

Eligibility:

✅ Canadian Citizens or Permanent Residents

✅ Currently unemployed or working part-time (less than 20 hours/week in the last 12 weeks)

✅ Must live in Red Deer or surrounding area

✅ Driver’s license and vehicle are an asset for commuting

✅ New to Canada? You’ll need CLB Level 7 or higher
