Discover the wonderful world of YUPO paper, and create your own watermedia masterpiece. YUPO is a versatile, recyclable, waterproof, tree free synthetic paper that allows watercolor and acrylic paints to float on the surface, which results in bold colors with a stained glass appearance.
This is a four day workshop for all skill levels and is intended to give you a variety of ways to approach the unique characteristics of YUPO. Day four will be a discussion on travel journaling.

James Turner is an award winning artist and will instruct you on the use of YUPO and the advantages of the abstract, flowing ‘liquid’ look of wet in wet application. In his workshop we will experiment with stamping, texturing, lifting and even texturing with foam rollers. He will talk about design and how to go from the crazy accidental abstraction to finished work. He will also talk about “taming” YUPO to do representational work, flattening and graded washes.
