Sign up for amazing, accessible and inclusive cricket "taster sessions" on Sunday March 29 at Walton-on-Thames Cricket Club! A more structured day, the focus is still on having fun while enjoying small group "taster session" cricket coaching (5 separate groups with a maximum of 6 participants in each).
These introductory sessions are free, but advanced sign up is required to enable advance planning. Participants will be carefully grouped, and each group will receive tailored instruction. Specialist coaches will be assigned to SEND partipants, who will also be able to sign up for the new weekly "Super 1s" sessions running at Walton.
Open to EVERYONE interested in trying cricket, we especially encourage girls aged 5+ and SEND young people aged 8-25+ to come along and give it a try, plus their families and caregivers. But absolutely everyone is welcome and nobody will be excluded!
This is also a chance for the whole family to experience the social side of cricket, make new friends and connections and enjoy a chat over a delicious, free cricket tea in the pavilion.
NB: SEND families signing up for the small group accessible cricket coaching sessions on the Sunday are encouraged to come along on the Saturday, ask questions, gather information and get an advance preview of the venue.
If you have specific access needs or would like to talk through anything before attending on either day, please contact us in advance at [email protected]. We’re ready to work with you to ensure your experience is safe, comfortable and enjoyable.
This event is about inclusion, connection and community — and everyone is welcome! We look forward to seeing you soon.
