Keynote Speaker: Dr. Betina Hsieh
Boeing Professor of Teacher Education, University of Washington
Dr. Betina Hsieh is a nationally recognized scholar and advocate for justice-focused, humanizing teacher preparation. A former urban middle school teacher, she brings deep expertise in teacher identity, agency, and retention—especially for teachers of color. Co-author of The Racialized Experiences of Asian American Teachers, Dr. Hsieh is a widely published voice in the field and a strong supporter of California Community College teacher preparation programs.
