Acadie Éclatante! Two exciting ensembles are all set to bring the Acadian spirit to Cymbria. Beauxmont is a 6-piece band coming from all corners of Acadia. Blending modern and traditional instruments, their sound gives a nod to the swampy sounds of their Cajun cousins in Louisiana, but the sound is all Acadie. Duo ‘Sirene et Matelot’ is made up of two superb and well-known musicians Patricia Richard and Lennie Gallant who have been collaborating on projects for years. They took home Contemporary Roots Album of the Year at the 2024 Music PEI Awards. Their distinctive sound navigates folk, pop and slightly traditional currents, with their songs reflecting the Francophonie of PEI.
