Join us for the Acadiana Talent Songwriting Contest, hosted by Pink Trailer Productions. The event will be held at 207 Jefferson Street in downtown Lafayette, with doors opening at 6:00 PM and music beginning at 7:00 PM. Come early—sign-up for the songwriting contest begins at 6:00 PM—giving you time to settle in and shop. Inside the store where the event is being held, Robin McMillan's Paparazzi Jewelry will be on sale, offering pieces for just $5 each or five pieces for $20. Take this opportunity to browse and find some great accessories before the performances start.Whether you're a songwriter or a music fan, this evening promises an exciting showcase of local talent. The contest features a $100 prize for the winner and a $50 fan favorite award, giving everyone a chance to participate and enjoy the performances.
Parking is convenient and plentiful, with free street parking available after 5 PM, as well as paid parking across from Jim Deggy's and behind Dwyer’s. The event is BYOB, so feel free to bring your own drinks and food. You can also bring in refreshments from Jim Deggy's next door or Reve Coffee Shop across the street to enjoy during the event. Entrance is a $5 donation at the door, supporting local arts. The first hour will be dedicated to the songwriting contest, followed by an open mic session, allowing more local artists to share their music.
