About this Event
We’re back, and we have a lot to talk about! We are experiencing a paradigm shift in the informational tools used to make sense of our world; from the ascendancy of social media platforms to the explosion of artificial intelligence in tandem with the ongoing decline of print media outlets. Using our voices as librarians, archivists, and knowledge workers is critical at this moment in time; our very democratic society depends on it.
The newly renamed ALT Conference is seeking voices to share their projects, activities, research, and visions that showcase the ongoing work in these conversations. How has your work strengthened access to collections that support all users? Do you see an absent dialogue around artificial intelligence and cultural institutions? Which methods are being used to stop the onslaught of disinformation? We will not only look forward but also examine how the last four years have impacted our work.
