After a hugely successful festival last year, we're back for Refugee Week 2023! This page is for the 24th, focused on Afghan culture.
About this Event

Don’t miss this year’s ACAA Refugee Week Festival which takes place once again in West London's Gunnersbury Park on Saturday, 24th and Sunday 25th June. The first day of the combined arts festival will focus on Afghanistan, and the second on Ukraine. The event marks the culmination of Refugee Week, an annual celebration of the contributions, creativity and resilience of refugees which, this year, is themed around ‘compassion’. This family-friendly festival will showcase music and dance, food and crafts from Central Asia on Saturday, and explore Ukrainian culture on Sunday, 10:00 – 20:00 each day.

Tickets: £15 adults per day, £5 children (age 5-16) per day, free for under-5s.

Come and join our Afghan Day on Saturday, the 24th of June!

The festival will include a variety of food stalls, live music, children's activities, poetry, dance and so much more! This is an unmissable opportunity to learn about the rich Afghan culture that has persisted for over three millennia!

The festival will include a variety of food stalls – Kebab, Qabuli, Chips and Burgers, Partha, cold noodles and pastries! We also have face paintings and bubbles show on the day, so do not miss it with your children!

Bring your loved ones and children on the 24th and enjoy our fabulous Afghan artists’ performance and live music. We have proudly invited Afghan Star, Fayaz Hamid, and leading Afghan dancer, Ziba Tabrizi, on the day. So do not miss this opportunity to experience what a genuine Afghan culture festival is like!

The Refugee Festival does not just celebrate the vivid Afghan culture, but also an exciting opportunity for Afghan businesses and small entrepreneurs to present their excellent goods and services. Please come and support them and book your ticket now to enjoy a day full of diversity and exotic culture with your family on the 24th of June!
