Pragmatic and imaginative, this book is a modern manual for urban housing: getting it built and making it great. Aimed at residents and officials as well as students and design professionals, 9 Ways to Make Housing for People explains core principles and strategies that help communities achieve real quality and value in new housing. Replete with examples drawn from DBA’s four decades of designing human-centered communities, the book is jargon-free and easy to use. David Baker Architects are pioneers in urban housing, winning national awards and accolades. The 9 Ways have been presented in cities across America, and were also featured in an exhibit at New York’s Cooper Hewitt, Smithsonian Design Museum. Currently on press for fall publication by ORO Editions, this book will be available for purchase at the event.
