About this Event
The Mission of the American Business Women’s Association is to bring together business women of diverse occupations and to provide opportunities for them to help themselves and others grow personally and professionally through leadership, education, networking support and national recognition
The Sunset Chapter meets on the 3rd Thursday of every month in Sarasota. Our meeting is a hybrid event; you may choose to attend in person or virtually via the Zoom meeting option. Visitors are always welcome and we encourage our members to invite guests to attend as well.
This month we will be meeting at the Women's Resource Center, 340 S. Tuttle Avenue in Sarasota.

New panties, Bras (like new), shoes & jewelry
Toiletries (unopened): Makeup, body wash, shampoo, conditioner & feminine hygiene products.
Please bring your donations to the meeting.
We will be enjoying a buffet dinner at 6 pm. $25 includes dinner, dessert, coffee, tea and wine.
The program will begin at 7 pm. Please register so we can set it up as needed.

ANGELA HAINES is a widely published journalist and author and communications and career consultant. A former reporter for Fortune and Money magazines, she has written freelance features for The New York Times, The Associated Press, Venture, Cosmopolitan, Woman’s Day, and Boardroom Reports. She has also provided communications consulting and in-house seminars for several corporations, including, Barnes and Noble, Ernst and Young, and Citigroup.. Earlier in her career, she founded and ran a public affairs office for the children’s hospital at New York Presbyterian Hospital for several years; she also wrote a book on parenting published under the Random House Villard Books imprint.
In addition to her business and journalism career, Angela Haines served as an adjunct professor at New York University for many years, teaching writing seminars and business communications. Now she regularly adapts the material from her successful courses as a career coach for both private clients and non-profit organizations. Currently, Angela is a managing director of Golden Seeds, a national angel investing group that supports women-backed businesses. She has also written a biweekly column on women entrepreneurs for Huffington Post and Forbes. Presently she is an active member of the Board, and the Executive Committee, of the Caramoor Center for Music and Arts and a member of the Board of Young Concert Artists. She also offers job readiness skills, including resume and interviewing prep, to several nonprofit organizations, including The Fortune Society, The Women’s Resource Center, Sarasota County J*il, and CityTutors.
