Parents, grandparents, and guardians are invited to join the an important training discussing practical and age-appropriate ways to protect your children from exposure to sexual abuse and pornography. This training is relevant for all parents/grandparents, from toddlers to teens. Taught by Oak Creek Caring Well Team Leaders: Jon and Robyn Joyner.
Jon worked in social work and foster care in Michiana for ten years. He has a heart for teens and has extensive experience working in trauma informed settings. Robyn is Abuse Survivor/Advocate who has a degree and background in Early Childhood Development. Her heart is to equip parents with tools to communicate with their children and open vital lines of communication. Both Jon and Robyn attended "Caring Well Conference: Becoming a Church that Cares Well for the Abused" and have facilitated multiple Caring Well trainings and seminars. Jon and Robyn have developed this Parenting Seminar from their their Caring Well training and decades of experience in the fields of social work and child development.
