We are thrilled to welcome artist Jo Starkey back to Victoria Pavilion for another of her amazing workshops. Come along and learn the methods and techniques that she uses in her work as a professional artist, and create your own beautiful abstract sunlit forest painting!Jo is passionate about trees and forests, and this workshop is all about creating the feeling of a magical sunlit forest. Even if you're a complete novice, the methods she teaches are easy to learn and apply.
Working with acrylics you will be taught a layering process, applying paint in different ways to build up a feeling of depth, using tools such as silicone spatulas, credit cards, applicator bottles, rigger brushes, nails for scratching paint, and metallic rubs to add gold and silver highlights.
If you’re lacking confidence or inspiration, this one day workshop will give you the kickstart you need to explore your creative side and you’ll have so much fun in the process!
