This workshop is one of the most popular we offer. And yes we start at the absolute beginning. Designed for those who have never had a ballet class this workshop teaches ballet from the very beginning. At the end of the session you will have learned some of the fundamental positions vocabulary and basic principles of ballet.

*NOTE: Workshops are enrollment-based and are non-refundable non-transferrable and make-up classes are not available. Workshops are held at Ballet Austin’s Butler Dance Education Center 501 W. 3rd St. 78701. Enrollment is required ahead of time.
What to wear: Tights and a leotard for women. A T-shirt and/or shorts over your leotard are just fine if you feel more comfortable. Men may wear shorts or warm-ups and t-shirt. Ballet technique shoes required; canvas is recommended but leather is fine. Any dancewear store will carry shoes and dancewear but we do recommend Movin’ Easy at 7756 Northcross Drive.
