Join in New York City on Tuesday, May 27th at 6PM as we welcome New York Times bestselling author to discuss. This story is a stunning and magisterial epic of love, faith, and medicine, set in Kerala, South India, following three generations of a family seeking the answers to a strange secret.

Abraham will be in conversation with B&N Editorial Director Miwa Messer.

TICKETING INFORMATION

Book Admission - $24.00 (Admission + one pre-signed copy of (paperback) + 5-cent bag fee): **LIMITED QUANTITY AVAILABLE**: a ticket PER PERSON includes:

  • One pre-signed copy of (paperback).
  • Admission to the event space for the Talk/Q&A and signing line with .


Abraham will pose for photos. A B&N staff member will be on hand to take your photo.

All copies of will be pre-signed. Abraham will personalize copies (name only).

Any gifts for the author will be collected prior to the signing line.

Please arrive by 6PM in order to secure your seat in the event space. Late arrivals may only have access to standing room and may not have the opportunity to meet the author.


GUIDELINES

No large bags will be permitted into the event.

No memorabilia will be signed at this event.

Ticket holders will be admitted into the event beginning at 5:30PM the day of the event. Please have a copy of your ticket available (either printed out or on your phone) for check in.

Due to health and safety and space limitations, those without a ticket will not be permitted into the event space.

Please note that Eventbrite is the only authorized dealer for this event. Each person must have a ticket to enter.

REFUNDS

Attendees can receive refunds up to 24 hours before your event start time.

If you are unable to attend the event, Barnes & Noble - Union Square will hold your book for seven days after the event. Please contact the store to arrange your pickup.

Should this event be canceled, all customers will be refunded their ticket price to the original method of payment per Eventbrite's refund policy.

ABOUT :

ABRAHAM VERGHESE is a graduate of the Iowa Writers’ Workshop and the author of the NBCC Award finalist My Own Country and the New York Times Notable Book The Tennis Partner. His most recent book, Cutting for Stone, spent 107 weeks on the New York Times bestseller list and sold more than two million copies worldwide. It was translated into more than twenty languages and is being adapted for film by Anonymous Content. Verghese was awarded the National Humanities Medal by President Obama, has received six honorary degrees, and is an elected member of the National Academy of Medicine and the American Academy of Arts and Sciences.
