Come and visit your public library where local Aboriginal artists will be demonstrating their creative talents. Artists will be happy to discuss their work, which will be available for purchase.
Meet Warrawong's Artists:
Lorraine Brown & Narelle Thomas are the premier artists from Coomaditchie United Aboriginal Corporation, sisters who have been painting since 1992.
They have completed many public art projects including the Dapto Ribbonwood Centre mosaic project, Gurangaty town fountain at the Town Hall, Blue Dreaming at Wollongong Harbour (Levendis café) and many more.
Lorraine and Narelle view their ability to paint as a gift that can be shared with the wider community and break down barriers to share history and culture through art.
“We are East Coast people” - and this is reflected in many of their artworks!
